Kids Snake Eyes Costume - The Coolest 2009 Halloween Costume!
Everyone loves Halloween. It is the only time of the year when we can dress up as something other than ourselves. And our kids love it because they can become superheroes, villains, or havoc-wreakers (depending on their personality!).
As October 31 approaches, we are all scrambling to try and find a reasonably priced costume for our kids and ourselves. The question is: What To Be For Halloween? 2009 brings plenty of options as comic book heroes have come full circle and retaken the limelight.
The coolest costume I have found this year is the GI Joe Snake Eyes costume. It is a black, ninja-style muscle suit with a mask, sword and sheath, and gloves. It looks just like the real thing! And you can buy Kids Snake Eyes costume for under $30 at most online shops. Plus they have an adult version too. Not bad, considering the state of our economy.
After watching my son spend hours playing GI Joe video games, I know that the Snake Eyes costume is perfect for him. Plus I can relate because I used to spend hours playing with GI Joe action figures when I was younger. How times have changed, right? I guess all kids love the idea of warfare. It is human nature because war has been with us ever since humans secured dominion over the planet. So why not encourage my son to be the 'Good Guy', Snake Eyes, who fights the evil Cobra Empire? That is exactly what I am going to do. And for the sake of nostalgia, I may just add in an adult Snake Eyes costume and go with him door-to-door in search of the best candy!
Happy Halloween!

Why Full Frontal Male Nudity is Good For Games
You might be asking yourself, how in the world can male nudity in video games possibly be good for the industry? Well young padawan sit right down and I'll tell you how. In short: Main stream acceptance. For the past few recent years a war has been waged upon our beloved hobby claiming that games will never be considered art, even main stream figures such as Roger Ebert composing treatises about how and why it will never be so. Now this may be understandable if we were speaking of Custer's Revenge featuring 8-bits of raging genocidal rape, there's nothing artistic about that.
It's easy from an outsider's perspective to just write off video games as an art because they have no appreciation for how far it has come. Starting out with a Commodore 64 and aging with the industry I can remember that there was virtually no story in the early days of video games. "Thank you Mario. But our princess is in another castle!" isn't exactly Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut. But, as the years have progressed our industry has matured along with its audience and has started to develop games that contain stories that rival the writing of movies and television shows.
One of these developers pushing the envelope in more ways than one is Rockstar, the famed developer of the Grand Theft Auto series. GTA 4 has gained numerous accolades for its writing and overall excellence. In the expansion, (The Lost and Damned), just recently released, there is a scene containing full frontal male nudity. Now, being a male of the heterosexual persuasion, my first reaction was; "Really? That's not necessary at all." Upon thinking about it more, though I came to the conclusion that sometimes letting it all hang out, pun intended, is the best way to advance a movement. For example, when Mortal Kombat was first released it was railed against as incredibly violent and in my eyes totally awesome. If you haven't played Mortal Kombat, the game features "Finishing moves" that allow the avatar to perform amazing feats of martial arts expertise such as removing the head along with the spinal chord, thereby killing ones opponent. Legislative happy mothers of the time, including Tipper Gore, lobbied congress to remove such games from the shelves opting for legislative parenting. This is, in my eyes, an extreme over reaction. Upon my parents viewing these totally awesome moves, they were also appalled, but then started to play with us...for hours. My parents made sure that we understood that these acts in all of their blazing 16-bit glory were in fact not real. This is what parenting should be people. The government should not decide what is acceptable for children to view. The parents should because that is what real parenting consists of. I digress.
I think that part of the hesitation on pundits to label video games as art is that it takes a whole team of developers often consisting of 40 plus people to complete a game. To that I answer this: It takes just as many, if not many more to create a film, on top of that who says that art needs to be created by a single person or a small team? It scares pundits that art can exist outside the bounds of their frigid paradigm. Continuing along this thread of thought, since we consider much of what makes up a game as microcosms of art (technical artists, concept artists) and do not yet accept coding as an art (many would argue the virtues of beautifully written code) we write off the entire end product as a whole because a portion of it is not "art". I would argue that video games CAN and often times are art. Just because some games are pure trash (X-men 3: The Movie: The Game anyone?) doesn't mean that the rest of them should be dismissed as a slight. If we did that to movies, 'Transformers' would have ruined it for 'The Departed', (I'm sorry Michael Bay, but don't leave so many damned plot holes in the sequel and maybe you wont get called out.) This all seems fair enough, right?
Pushing the envelope is essential to gaining acceptance into a category; this is the wonderful part about art. We don't need talking heads to say "OK, I say that this is so and it now is." As long as we ourselves see and understand that our chosen hobby is many things to many people, we may view them as whatever we want them to be. If a person can look at a pile of trash and claim it to be social commentary then we too can say "Hey, maybe Mario never finding the princess in the castle that the damn little toadstool said she was in was a metaphor for perseverance in the face of adversity."

Stocking Stuffer Ideas
Every household has its own traditions, of course, but in our house growing up we were allowed to go into our stockings before our parents got up. The idea behind this, I'm sure, was to allow mommy and daddy to sleep in past four a.m., which is of course when we would have woken them up if we'd had to wait until they were up to enjoy any Christmas! With this in mind, gifts in our stockings were intended to occupy us until everyone had slept in as long as they wished and we could get on with the business of presents. Here are some ideas for stuffing stockings for all you Santa's helpers out there.

List of Soul Society Objects From Bleach Manga - Tools and Artifacts
Bleach is a diverse manga where Tite Kubo has created so many characters and different story arcs. In order to understand the complexities he had created in the Soul Society universe I have written out some useful information for you Bleach fans out there.
If you have missed out my first part of Soul Society items, try to read them first before going to this second part. The following are the continuation of magical items and artifacts which you will encounter in Bleach manga.
1. Hojikuzai
This is another type of medicine used by the 4th division members to administer cure for patients who
needs to regrow body parts lost in battle.
2. Kiokochikan
The Kiokochikan is a memory replicator. This as first used by Kuchiki Rukia while she was on assigned duty in the human world. Using this device enables her to erase parts of the people's memories who witnessed anything out of the ordinary. It will replace the erased memory with a sane explanation of why he was there in the first place and what happened during the incident.
3. Soumafixers
Soumafixers is possibly an invention of Kisuke Urahara. It is used to synchronize a shinigami's temporary body so that he can be able to move comfortably. Rukia had a hard time controlling her temporary body when she ran low on Soumafixers.
4. Tenshintai
A Tenshintai is a white, tribal-looking doll possibly also invented by Kisuke Urahara. This doll was used by Yoruichi Shihoin when she trained Kurosaki Ichigo to help him achieve Bankai with his Zanpakuto. This doll has the power to draw forth the spirit living inside a shinigami's zanpakuto and material into the wielder's world. The doll serves as an artificial body for the Zanpakutou to help hom test the powers of his wielder.
5. Soukyoku
The Soukyoku is a zanpakuto used for execution. It is extremely powerful and is said to be the equivalent of 1000 zanpakutos. No one wields the Soukyoku. It is immensely large and is secured by use of magical enchantments and ropes to restrain its awesome power. During Kuchiki Rukia's execution, the Soukyoku takes the form of a phoenix.
6. Kuukaku Canyon
The Flower Canyon is an invention of Kuukaki Shiba of the Shiba Clan. This canyon is used by Kurosaki Ichigo and his friends to shoot transfer themselves inside Seireitei.
7. Asauchi
These are small swords given to Shinigamis that have not passed into Gotei 13. They are of little use to the wielders and they have no names.
8. Mod Souls
The Mod Souls were created under the Spearhead Operation. These are used to enhance regular human physiology, which makes them capable of battling Hollows. Different Mod Souls have different enhanced capacities. Kon, the Mod Soul Ichigo sometimes uses has enhanced leg strength. The Mod Souls have been conceived to be placed inside corpses so that they can become soldiers ready to battle Hollows. The experiment for Mod Souls was halted due to ethical reasons.

Useful Information About Old and New Wii Games
Nintendo Wii is undoubtedly one of the most popular and successful game consoles ever introduced in the market. Since its introduction in 2006, countless Wii games have become widely accessible to the global market. In fact, its debut had a very strong game lineup which includes the following:
The Last Airbender (a game based on 'Avatar')
Red Steel (a samurai shooter game)
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (one of Wii's critically acclaimed games)
As Wii became more popular, more Nintendo-based games were developed. However, third party Wii games have also emerged. While the sales of Nintendo based games continue to sky-rocket, third-party games were bombarded with bad reviews. The introduction of high-quality Nintendo games such as the Wario Ware Smooth Moves and Super Paper Mario once again proved and showcased Nintendo's capacity to create entertaining and exciting games.
In 2008, a new line of game called the 'Shovelware' was presented. These games were poorly financed and included substandard graphics. However, Nintendo continued to produce quality games like the Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Brothers. Up to this day, Nintendo's Super Mario game franchise continues to conquer the gaming industry.
Technically, the best asset of Wii Nintendo games is their ability to support a certain type of motion control mechanism. This literally allows the players to feel as if they were really in the game. Some Nintendo games require additional peripherals needed to ensure optimum gaming experience. Games like Mario Kart and Wii Fit typically come with special accessories that include the Wii Wheel and WiiFit Balance Board.
So, for those looking for ultimate Wii games, you should try any of the following:
· New Super Mario Brother Wii
· Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars
· No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle
· Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles
Or for something completely different why not try out one of the current bestselling games - Just Dance. The idea of this dance game is to be fun for all the family, whilst getting fit and giving you an aerobic workout. There are over 30 music tracks included which range from the 60s, 70s and 80s to right up to date and in a variety of music styles from pop to rock. You also get to learn all the dance moves plus there is sing-along karaoke style lyrics included. Up to four people can play at the same time so get some friends or family members together and you are guaranteed to have a great time and laugh yourselves silly.
Another brand new game is EndlessOcean: Blue World. This follow up to the original Endless Ocean allows you to virtually dive into the undersea world. This is an altogether more exciting game than the original with improved graphics and includes shark attacks, swimming with both whales and dolphins, and searching for lost treasure whilst exploring shipwrecks.

Mortal Kombat Action Figures
Mortal Kombat is one of the most popular arcade games of all time. Its over the top violence and gruesome fatalities spawned endless controversy. The digital sprites the game used for the characters were revolutionary compared to the hand drawn animation that was standard in games at the time. Building on the success of the first game, the Mortal Kombat world is truly huge, spanning 17 games, 3 films and 2 TV shows. True fans can bring the characters out of the game and into the meatspace with detailed action figures.
A POTPOURI OF CHARACTERS
Some of the more popular action figures are:
Johnny Cage
Johnny Cage is a Hollywood actor, and is out to prove his fighting skills. Introduced in the original game, he is also one of the most featured characters.
Liu Kang
Perhaps the most famous character of all is Liu Kang, another character who debuted in the original game. A follower of the Shaolin White Lotus society, Liu Kang is the closest thing to a hero in the series.
Kung Lao
A former Shaolin monk, Kung Lao is the most outspoken pacifist of the Earthrealm warriors. His trademark is his razor-rimmed hat, which he can employ quite powerfully and effectively in combat.
Goro
A 2,000 year old half human dragon Goro remained undefeated for over 500 years. He won the title of Grand Champion by defeating Kung Lao, a Shaolin fighting monk. With four arms and the same number of toes, Goro is frightening to behold.
Sub-Zero
Icy in nature and in power, Sub-Zero was formerly a cold-blooded assassin. Now a wraith after being reincarnated in the Neatherrealm, Sub-Zero is the very incarnation of evil. He appeared as a fighter in all of the first seven main fighting Mortal Kombat games, in one form or another.
Scorpion
Scorpion, formerly a human ninja assassin, now deceased and a hell-spawned specter clad in black and yellow. In the original game, both scorpion and Sub-Zero shared the same character model, the only difference being their coloring.
Which Mortal Kombat action figures will YOU choose?
SOURCES
There are a number of sources for Mortal Kombat Action Figures. One of the best ways to find out about the current market is to input "Mortal Kombat Action Figures" (without the quotes) into any search engine, like Google. You will get a listing that will have several commercial sources, plus some other sites that contain information.

Don't Throw Out Your Batteries - Restore Them
Before you throw out your old car battery, check into how you can recondition it. The new battery you got was surly expensive and it may have died on you at an inconvenient time. If you figure out the other expenses that may have been incurred because it died, aside from the cost of your battery, it can get ridiculous.
Being able to recondition your battery may not have been able to save you from being stranded somewhere, but it would have saved you some money. In fact you could have had a battery on stand by at home that you swap out, then recondition your dead battery to use as a backup.
What is it that makes your battery go bad? There is lead sulfate that is accumulated on the lead plates in a crystallite form. This accumulation will reduce the capacity of the battery over time to the point it will fail. This is known as sulfation and is one of the leading causes of battery failures.
The good thing is that this sulfation can be reversed by reconditioning the battery. An instrument is used to produce a high current pulse through the battery that breaks up and converts the sulfate back to its previous state. Cleaning the plates this way will return most batteries back into a useable battery again.
You could pick up old batteries that no one wants for no cost and recondition them back into usable shape and resell them as reconditioned batteries. You could make some extra cash and your buyers could be saving some money.
Top Animes
Animation has become the new way people get to view cartoons. They have spun from comic books into cartoon series into animated movies. Many people are enjoying watching this different forms of animated cartoons and they in turn have gotten a cult following. The top animes are the ones which people are in constant want off. You will find that series like Naruto, bleach and Pokemon have a big following. These you could say at the top animation cartoons that are currently being sought after. This makes Japanese animation the best one.
You can get to rate your best and top animes online. Many of them are free and you can also get to watch them on the internet. Maybe it is the accessibility that has made these animated cartoons the best. You can also Google the top animes you want and you will be provided with the best animations that are currently being shown. You will find that many people are taking to these forms of cartoons due to the fact they are realistic and also because they are filled with fantasy that we just admire.
Animes such as Astro Boy has also gotten several air play in western countries, due to the fact many people enjoy watching it. Another franchise that has really taken the cake is the Pokemon franchise which was actually introduced using the Nintendo video games.
Japanese animations are a growing culture and more and more each day you see that people are starting to turn to them as a way to relieve boredom. If you want to check out the latest top animations then all you have to do is go online and look for them. Try using Google your chances improve if you do!

If You Are Not Willing To Lead
"If you are not willing to lead, then get out of the way." This sentiment was shouted at the U.S. by a representative at the recent Bali Conference on climate change. This will be the refrain of the world unless we, as a nation, make a determined effort to get our proverbial international act together with respect to climate change specifically and foreign policy in general. The deal signed at the Bali Conference does not require specific climate reduction targets by anyone, thanks to the U.S. Oh, but it does create an agenda for future discussions and negotiations. Some say that at least this keeps the dialogue going and, yes, that is a positive step.
Despite the E.U.'s desire to develop mandatory reductions of greenhouse gases, the U.S., backed by Japan and several other nations prevented stringent actions from being taken. The U.S. argued that numbers should not be assigned until after further negotiations which will not be complete until 2009. So now we will have two more years of discussion and then, maybe, we will sign off on numbers which will still have to go through the treaty process in the U.S. Does everyone think that the GOP will just say, "Sure, let's put restrictions on big business?" After all, the major reason that the U.S. and China have balked at signing off on limits is because they say it will hurt economic growth. Will it hurt economic growth any less in two years? When India and the E.U. tried to include language that would require monitoring of technology transfer to underdeveloped countries, the U.S. decided it wanted further talks on the issue. While this position was reversed due to massive pressure, the damage to the image of the U.S. had been done.
Thanks to President Bush, the U.S. has bought itself more time to try to figure out how to avoid more regulations that would hamstring multi-billion dollar corporations. A key question is what kind of time do we really have? Will Nature wait for the U.S. and China to get on board with most of the rest of the world? The recent auto emissions standards signed by President Bush are a joke. By 2020 autos are required to get 35mpg. We are not that far from that now and most imports have already reached that goal. The bill also requires more use of ethanol which is basically produced and under the control of oil companies. Who wins? Not the environment and not the consumer. With the tax increase knocked out of the bill to force large corporations to pay for changes, who do you think will be footing the costs to clean up the emissions? Keep in mind that the 35mpg is not required until 2020, what happens to the emissions in the meantime?
With all of these delays it is important to note the condition of the environment is not improving. According to scientists, Arctic ice melt reached a new high in 2007 with an area the size of Alaska gone. Sea ice loss up to 2006 was something like an average of 68,000 square miles. The loss of sea ice from 2006 to 2007 was ten times that amount or around 663,000 square miles. It is speculated that the Arctic Sea could be ice free in the summer of 2013. The sea temperature has risen an unprecedented 5 degrees Celsius. If this happened in a year's time, what makes the U.S. think that we have years to decide on a course of action to cope with the issues of climate change?

Book Price Comparison - The Choice is Yours!
Shopping is no longer what it used to be. Today, we all are familiar with terms like cashback and comparison shopping. The advent of this phenomenon has changed the shopping scenario not just in UK, but world over. With this other convenient option in sight, not many people today roam around with long grocery lists in the departmental stores of high street.
The times are hectic and there is perennial paucity of time. In a scenario like this, one hardly even finds the time to follow his interests or engage in childhood hobbies-be it listening to music or reading books. Book reading demands time and attention and the modern lifestyle leaves us with no time to engage in this enriching and interesting activity. This is where the internet comes in handy.
E-books are no longer a novel concept. Also, buying books over the internet has been an option available to people since a long time now. What is new however is the concept of book price comparison. As time passed, internet shopping took up a new and advanced avatar of comparison shopping. Comparing products and their prices is one way of facilitating users with information that makes their shopping an easy task.
Books can be searched for by their titles or the author's name on the World Wide Web. Now, you can even compare prices of these books as offered by various merchants and e-stores. It's quick and easy, plus it enables you to compare book and postage prices from a large number of online book retailers. Titles can be old or new, genre can be any. Everything is available online from the comforts of your home. Moreover, promotional offers as well as exciting deals are also offered on the bestsellers.
Choose the book of your liking, choose the price that suits your pocket, and get going!

Ten TV Shows That Went To Rerun Heaven Way Too Soon
TOP CAT - 1961-1962
This cartoon came out in the early 60s just after The Flintstones proved that a prime time cartoon could work. Top Cat was funnier-a wisecracking Sgt. Bilko-like cat who ran con games in a NY back alley with the help of 5 buddies under the watchful eye of Officer Dibble of the NYPD.
How could it miss?
But it did because TV only needed one prime time cartoon and The Flintstones came first. Ask the geniuses in TV land-this was a brilliant show. Yeah we still miss those funny cats.
CAR 54 WHERE ARE YOU? - 1961-1963
A New York cop show from the early 60s. This was a sitcom that should have lived a long, happy life-how could you possibly miss with Herman and Grandpa Munster playing NYPD cops with room temperature IQs? It was an early retirement from the force-ratings were lukewarm after the first season. That took Car 54 over a big cliff into a fiery landing because funny network TV cop shows have a short shelf life even in 2010.
Goodbye Herman, goodbye Grandpa-see you a few years later in The Munsters.
F TROOP - 1965-1967
This 60s Western comedy took an arrow in the throat after only a few seasons. It was pricey to film and going to color in the second season caused the bean counters to take it down hard and fast. Better than average ratings wasn't enough of a Calvary charge to save this Western comedy classic.
Too bad - it was a great show, but the geniuses in charge of finances refused to circle the wagons for Corporal Agarn, Sgt. O'Rourke and Roaring Chicken.
NIGHT GALLERY - 1970-1973
Rod Serling said goodbye to television in the early 70s with this horror anthology-they treated Rod like crap but he still brought his A-game. That wasn't enough. Rod Serling could read a grocery list and scare the liver out of you but as usual...the chuckleheads that run TV knew better. They took away any real power behind the scenes and, in a real life horror story; he became a pale imitation of the power guy Rod Serling from the classic TV era so...they sent him to the real Twilight Zone after only a few seasons.
KOLCHAK NIGHT STALKER - 1974-1975
We're not talking about the last 21st Century version of this show. We're talking about the classic Darren McGavin early 70s version. The one where he played the chicken hearted big city reporter who drove a piece of crap car. McGavin liked the basic premise behind Kolchak, but he bucked at the "monster of the week" format. That, and lukewarm ratings gave both network and actor common ground to drive a stake through the heart of this highly underrated TV series. This show was fantastic but once it died, they shouldn't have made it undead in that horrible 2005 version. That was true terror.
BUFFALO BILL - 1983-1984
This mid 70s show had Dabney Coleman playing arguably the most obnoxious TV personality in the history of TV. The problem was that people were actively turning the channel on Bob because they weren't smart enough to see the obvious...he was just a TV character. TV execs folded the tent and Buffalo Bob ended up looking for work. Yet another black day in television history and a sad comment on the IQ of the average viewer-Buffalo Bill was just too good for mainstream TV.
THE JOB - 2001-2002
The Job shared a very similar pattern to Buffalo Bill with a negative lead character and viewers that were a little dim. Dennis Leary played a cynical, burned out NYPD police detective with substance abuse problems-this kind of role seems to come far too easy for Dennis. Could be that he's a great method actor or he's had a lot of on the "job" training. Either way they cancelled the crap out of this show way too soon. As Leary would say, "those @#$%ing morons". The Job was a great show but anti-hero lead guys don't seem to click with the average TV sit-com fan. People with room temperature IQs just don't get it.
GREG THE BUNNY 2002
They canceled this show and yet they allowed evil crap like Gilmore Girls to choke off intelligent thought. This proves one thing- there is no God. This "Muppets in the dirty world of show biz" was just not PC enough, maybe the TV guys cater to the lowest form of life, maybe the new owners (Disney) wanted more wholesome kiddy fare-whatever the reason, we lost the funniest puppets since Kermit the Frog got drunk at the Emmys.
ACTION - 1999-2000
This was about a failed Hollywood producer trying to get back in the game who acted like a Hollywood producer-loud, obnoxious and egocentric while trying to survive in a bloody game. Action pulled no punches in its treatment of Hollywood. It was funny, insightful and accurate, but it never got great ratings-it didn't work, but a few years later Entourage did. Go figure.
ANDY RICHTER CONTROLS THE UNIVERSE - 2002-2003
This show shouldn't have been as funny as it was for one reason- Andy Richter. But it was because it offered a look inside and out of a man's mind. Everything he said, did or thought was shown as part of the storyline. Something like this can crash and burn pretty fast if it's badly handled. The woods are full of TV shows that suck at subtle, but this show was really well written and truly funny-a death sentence in network TV. And... unfortunately Mr. Richter didn't control the universe-unfunny TV execs did.
