We all grow up remembering a significant film and the characters involved in the film with remakes throughout our lives which many of us feel do not touch even anywhere near the feel of the original. This can be said for the characters to and not just the atmosphere of a film, although special effects become even more outstanding each year. This article talks about some of the favourite characters of the X-Men films and how we will remember them for years to come.
It has to be said that the favourite of many has to be The Wolverine. Played by Hugh Jackman, his special ability was to regenerate or heal whichever you like to call it so when he becomes injured, his injuries vanish before your eyes. Adding to this, his past led him to be part of an experiment to have a indestructible skeleton pumped into his body which gave him extraordinary sharp blades which appear from his hands. One of my favourite scenes with these blades is in the Wolverine film itself which was spanned from his popularity in the X-Men Trilogy and seen a very attractive male by women of all ages.
On the female side, my favourite character was actually Mystique. Not due to her being on the wrong side but due to the incredible shape shifting capabilities and martial arts she could perform. As a character she is very strong but you can see to that underneath there is someone who was bullied at school as she also mentioned in a helicopter scene and a shame such h a everyday thing led to someone choosing the losing side when underneath there was a vulnerable woman. The martial arts though were what impressed me with a intense amount of training herself and the cast themselves must have gone through to produce action scenes which will be easily remembered for many years.
My third favourite character was a small part in the third film but was the character who was a student of the school, an incredible muscular figure who could cover himself in a metal shield within a split second. This came in handy when the school was being attached and he was helping one of his fellow students. A Character with a huge amount of strength, but a kind, caring and gentle person at heart who risked himself to save others.
What a fantastic Trilogy the X-Men series of films were, which as mentioned led to Wolverine which was actually even better than I thought it would be. Films that set a new standard at the time for action, special effects, and had many points to make about human nature.
This complete series has led to an incredible amount of money spent by parents on children's toys, DVD's and even bedroom furniture such as duvet covers for fans of the films.
