Great Stocking Stuffers For Boys
Treats:
The first thing you can add to the stocking is treats. These can begin at toddler age and should be age appropriate. They don't have to be unhealthy either. You can add a small bag of popcorn, an apple, snack mix, nuts, or other healthy treats. For older kids, include something fun or silly, like a "gummy bear" rat, reindeer "poo", or "coal" candy.
Books:
Depending on how big the stocking is you can add one or two small books to the stocking stuffer. Find something that the boy will be interested in and that matches their age. Board books are a great idea for little ones-older kids will prefer puzzle or chapter books. A larger paperback can be rolled into a "scroll" shape and inserted in the stocking.
Small Toys:
There are a huge number of small toys that can be added to a boys stocking. Younger children will enjoy stuffed animals. As they get older they can enjoy toy cars and trucks, plastic animals, and action figures. Look for small accessories for favorite toys, or versions of classic toys like tops or pegboard puzzles.
Arts and Crafts:
You can also put a huge number of arts and crafts in the stocking, according to their age and tastes. Small coloring books and activities books can be added as well as packages of crayons and colored pencils. You can add a small sketch book, pencils, and or pens. You can also include paints, markers, or specialty options like stamping markers or glitter glue pens. Look in the "dollar" section of large craft stores for some clever art stocking stuffers
Tattoos and Stickers:
Most kids enjoy a good temporary tattoo or a bunch of stickers. This can be a very fun way to add just a little extra, especially if the boy isn't allowed to have these things often. If you have more than one boy in the family, buy a single pack and slip a few stickers into each stocking
Lights:
Young boys seem to love lights. You can consider getting a flashlight or two, LED lights, and even light sticks that will glow. Glowsticks are inexpensive, and come in bracelet, necklace, or "stick" form. Glow in the dark items of all types are fun surprises for a stocking.
Games:
There are a number of card games that make for great stocking stuffers. Dice games and other small games can be a great addition to your stocking. You can also get small solitaire games according to the age of the boy in question.
"Gag" gifts: Silly things like whoopee cushions, trick gum, fake ink stains, and related gag items go over really well with boys of all ages-but beware-some items will undoubtedly be used against you once he figures out what they do!
As boys age they tend to become more expensive to buy for-- and less excited about inexpensive plastic toys or cars that were once really cool. At this age you can stuff the stocking with hand held games, digital cameras, or sunglasses. You can also include money or gift certificates for music, movies, books or for gas for their car (if they have one).
Stockings are fun to pull together-there is just something fun about unearthing a pile of treasures on Christmas morning that kids of all ages enjoy. Do a great job on your stocking this year, and your kids will make a beeline for them first thing Christmas morning.

Bollywood Queen Aishwarya Rai
Bollywood's paragon of age-old, dutiful Indian femininity
That's what Indian press has to say about her. No wonder because her Hindi looks and deep-set eyes tells that she is a goddess incarnated into a beautiful woman. She took Hollywood by storm when she appeared in her latest offering The Last Legion as Mira, the female warrior.
Aishu had a little experience in acting but that doesn't hinder her to wow movie critics in her launching movie Iruvar (The Duo) in 1997. Her third movie Jeans, where she played a dual role garnered her Filmfare Best Actress Award South. As of this date, this emerald-eye beauty created almost 40 films including movie in production. Her performances in the movie Devdas earned her international fame as this movie is chosen to receive a special screening at Cannes Film Festival. Since then she became a regular in Cannes and eventually a member of the Jury in 2003. In October she released her first English film Bride and Prejudice, a musical taken from Jane Austen's famous novel along with her wax figure at Madame Tussaud's wax Museum.
As of this date, she will appear in movies such as Jodhaa Akbar and Sarkar for 2007, Raj Singularity and Bhopal Movie set in 2008 and Steve Martin's Pink Panther 2 where she replaced Beyonce as the female lead. She is also set to appear in US' hit sci-fi series Heroes where she has 8 episodes lined-up for her.
Aishu remained private in her personal life but her love life set her too many controversies. Her romance with Salman Khan ruled tabloids since she is a Hindu and Salman's a Muslim, they can't be together because it is not permitted in their culture. She also dated Vivek Oberoi and Abhishek Bachachan. Abhishek and Aishu got married last April 27, 2007.

Movie Memorabilia - Why it Makes a Great Gift For Students
It is not hard to spot the latest fashion trends. Just visit any college campus. But will this year's hot new trends be unique or will they be reruns from seasons long past? The lava lights and psychedelic posters of the 70's were once again easy to spot in the mid 90's and the slap bracelets and big sun glasses of the early 90's have been seen again as recently as 2006. What past fashion accessories will be popping up this semester?
Vintage movie posters such as "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "Scarface", have made there debut as a popular form of decorating for today's college students across the country, from coast to coast. Young adults that where not even born when these movies were first released are mimicking the style of these famous icons. These vintage black and white poster are just beginning of the movie memorabilia mountain.
What is the reason that twenty year old men and women are reaching back to the days of drive in movies and black and white pictures? No one knows for sure, but maybe they are yearning for a more simple time when humor was light hearted and times were easier to understand or maybe it is just the allure of classics that caught a hold of them again.
Smart marketers are not only making money on the vintage movie posters, they are making a huge profit on merchandising. At local shopping malls and department stores, you can purchase figurines, accessories, such as jewelery and sunglasses, and even catch phrase t-shirts. College campus bookstores are selling out of vintage movie posters faster than posters for newer films. These vintage posters are more popular than ever.
Posters can bring back the magic of another time and a fantasy of what might have been. They can help capture the spirit of a time you wish you lived in or help to keep memories alive. Some students put up posters to remind them of childhood or high school, some put them up to let other know who they are. Independent art/film posters and vintage movies posters use to only be displayed on the walls of film students, but the audience for them now, is so much larger.
More than twenty years ago most American teens had posters displaying the sexy Faye Dunaway or the incredible Elvis Presley hanging from their wall. Today, the hottest trends with teens in posters are those same figures that were popular way back then. These iconic representations are the perfect gift for that young man or lady in your life, and can give them the same expression of happiness that they gave an older generation upon receipt.

Doctor Who - The Sexiest Sidekick
Doctor Who, in his various generations, has been fortunate to travel with some very foxy companions. No denying it. Can you imagine Doctor Who without a companion? It'd be a little boring don't you think?
In the old series, I often wished a little romance would blossom, but the writers kept the relationship strictly one of friendship. There was always a warmth between the Doctor and his female companions but never any romance. The 6th Doctor played by Colin Baker went further and showed a superior and condescending Doctor often cursing himself for having anything to do with humanity. About as far from romance as you can get!
A lasting romance between our hero and his companions was taboo.
The new series of Doctor Who shows that when it comes to emotions, Gallifreyans are not that different to us. Things have heated up a bit on the romance front and it is nice to see. A romance blossoms between the Doctor and Rose. But it cannot be permanent. Were the Doctor to find a permanent peace and contentment of the heart, the story would be over. Do you agree?
The closest we come to seeing this is when Rose and the duplicate Doctor from Journey's End spend the rest of their lives together in a parallel universe, with the second Doctor made human - aging and unable to regenerate. But our hero as universe defender ends up alone. The loneliness of the Doctor is necessary to the storyline and fulfillment of his loneliness can only ever be temporary, or the story ends.
A separate discussion but referenced here just to fill out this conversation - note that not only is the Doctor lonely for company, but spends most of his time in the new series, believing he is the only member of his species left in existence after the war with the Daleks. An immense loneliness that pleads for compassion from us and adds a new layer of sadness to the Doctor's character. It also adds a dimension of respect and wonder that he can drum up enough fighting spirit to continue to defend us.
So we settle it seems for the brief interactions between the hero and his sidekicks, and he has had some beauties. Here are a few of my favorites. Feel free to comment and even to disagree - productively.
1) Leela the Savage
* Actual: Louise Jameson
* (1977-1978)
* Primitive
* Savage
* Warrior Anti-princess :)
* Massive sex appeal
* Attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and spent 2 years with the Royal Shakespeare company performing in Romeo and Juliet
2) Fellow Gallifreyan Romana: Romanadvoratrelundar
* Actual: Lalla Ward
* (1978-1979)
* Time Lord
* Pretty
* Was actually married to Tom Baker for 16 months while on set together.
* One of my favorites
* The Doctor's first on-screen kiss!
3) Rose Tyler
* Actual: Billie Piper
* (2005-2006)
* Began her career as a pop singer
* Was on Broadcast Magazine's top 100 influential UK on-screen performers, as # 6
* Has a phone that works anywhere in the Universe - ET Phone Home!!
* The Doctor's first on-screen romance!
4) Martha Jones
* Actual: Freema Agyeman
* (2007-2008)
* Was teleported to the moon together with the entire hospital she was interned at
* Cross-series appearences in Torchwood
* In love with the Doctor but the Doctor is still hung up on Rose and cannot get over what happened to her and what happens a lot to his companions - so cannot commit to Martha and loses her in consequence

Dancing With the Stars - A Show to Watch With the Whole Family
Have you seen the television program Dancing with the Stars? If not, that is a tad surprising. Now, when you watch it, have you ever considered watching it with your whole family? It is one of those shows that are not only enjoyable to a specific age or sex. I actually have not met a person, child or adult, which has seen the show and not liked it.
I am a mother to six children. I have three boys who are ages 1, 7, and 8. I also have three girls that are 2, 4, and 11. My oldest and middle girls will not miss an episode of the show. If they do, then I am not fair for making us go somewhere while it is on. There has been more than one occasion, when the particular season had progressed far enough, that my oldest daughter asked me to tape the show for her because she had to attend drill squad practice. She loves the show. She tells me it teaches he to be a better dancer and she can even learn new moves for drill.
Then there is the flipside, and by that I mean the portion of my family that is boys. They too watch it weekly, mostly because their sister makes them, but watch it all the same. The say their favorite part of the show is watching famous people fall or make mistakes. Go figure, they are 7 and 8.
I personally like to watch it because it shows that celebrities do not automatically come by a wide array of talent they have to work to become good at some things. My personal favorite celebrity that has been on the show, probably showed that more than some. Billy Ray Cyrus is my favorite of the all the celebrities that have appeared on Dancing With the Stars. He struggled from day one. He was large and awkward to put it nicely.
Billy Ray never let his stiffness hold him back though. He gave it his all every time he performed. An interesting point is that season, all of my children were also rooting Billy Ray on. Granted they were rooting for him because he is the father to their favorite actress but none the less, it again shows the wide range of ages that enjoy the show. After all, any show that can keep the interest of a woman in their mid to late 30s and also her six children must have something worthwhile in it.
Now let us take a minute to compare what the different age groups think of the judges. The three widely known judges are; Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonili. Every one has their own opinion of the judges. Some like one or two of them and there are also some that like all three or none of them. I like the fact that the judges usually will be right on the money. However, I have noticed that my children tend to get upset with the judges, even when their scores are warranted, if the judges give their favorite performer a bad score. They seem to be hardest on Carrie Ann, especially my boys.
No matter what age, sex, or geographic area you are from, chances are you have seen an episode or more of the ever popular show Dancing With the Stars. If you have children, try to sit down and watch an episode with them. It is a fun way to install quality family time in this hectic world we live in. If there were more shows that appealed to a wider range of viewers like Dancing with the Stars, family time would not be becoming extinct.
Toy Story - The Computer Animated Classic
This animated film begins with Andy, a boy with many toys. What he doesn't know is that his toys come to life when no one is around. The leader is a cowboy named Woody who says things when you pull the string in his back. Woody designs leads the operation to find out what Andy is getting for his birthday using army figurines. They sneak into the birthday party and hid behind the house plants. As Andy opens each present it is reported to the other toys anxiously waiting in the bedroom using walkie-talkies. Finally he opens a present that may be a threat to the toys.
It is not long before the new toy is brought upstairs. The second Andy leaves, the toy comes to life. He is an astronaut hero action figure named Buzz Lightyear that has many hidden talents in his suit. Buzz doesn't think that he is a toy. He thinks that he is the real thing and must get back home to save his planet. The other toys are a little happy that the toy wants to leave since his abilities are far superior to theirs.
Buzz looks out the window and accidentally falls out. All the other toys think that Woody did it. Moments later, Andy comes to his room to take a toy to a pizza restaurant but cannot find Buzz, so he takes Woody instead. Buzz watches Woody as he is placed in the car and hides under it. When the car stops at a gas station, Buzz asks Woody about him falling out the window. They soon begin fighting and fall out of the car. Moments later, the car is gone. They now have to work together if they ever want to make it home. Luckily a pizza delivery man comes to the gas station and they climb aboard. Once at the restaurant, they begin looking for Andy. Buzz sees a crane game and thinks that all the aliens in the game can tell him how to get back to his planet. Woody tries to stop him from going into the game. Soon a destructive neighbor fishes the two toys out of the game and takes them home.
That night the two toys are very scared. There are so many toys that are in pieces. Many are mismatched. They know that their fate will be the same if they don't do something fast. Will they make it out alive? Watch and find out.

The Very Basic Steps of Making an Animation Movie
Animation is one of the fastest-changing and most rewarding platforms to showcase one's creativity level. There are many professionals and upcoming animators who are work day and night to secure a position for themselves in the ever burgeoning market of cartoons and animations. Here, one can easily satiate his creative spirits by working for various TV programs, advertisements, commercials and computer games.
Early examples of animation work started appearing around 1910. At this time normal drawings were photographed one at a time to create a short animation clipping. Well, this traditional method was a very intensive and long drawn out process. Here hundreds of drawings were used for each minute of a short film. In recent times, it has been found that the animation industry is constantly evolving and creating easier and better ways to animate. Now it has become possible to make an animation movie sitting at home with the help of images of 2-D or 3-D artwork.
Here's an outline to help you make your own animation movie:
-Before drawing anything, figure out the basic theme of your movie. Will it be a comedy or action packed? Imagine your characters and then develop a plot.
- Now create a storyboard. It is not necessary to have the drawings of your storyboard to be the perfect ones. Rough drawings will do at this stage.
- A neatly laid out script is a must to give life to the characters of your storyline. Hence first write a script. Make sure to include everything as every small detail counts. Give stress on dialogues.
- Now conceptualize and write in detail the profiles of the various characters. It will help you to develop the story further.
- With the script ready, you are ready to begin the real animation work. Decide the animation technique you want to use. You can choose between flipbooks and the traditional method. While flipbooks are cost effective, it has several drawbacks such as absence of sound facility and limited film length.
On the other hand, traditional animation is time consuming and costly but it guarantees great quality. Apart from these two options, you can always use animation software. The various animation software programs come with easy to understand interface, different menus, palettes and toolbars etc.
-Once you are finished with developing the movie, it's time to edit it. Editing is very crucial to come up with quality product. All the minute errors can be mended at this stage.
-Show the final product to your family, friends, teachers or mentors and make note of their viewpoints regarding the movie. If they have any good suggestions regarding the movie which you find will make the animation film more entertaining and appealing do incorporate the ideas and make necessary changes.
-Now the animation movie is ready to be marketed. Well, for marketing you would need plenty of copies. The best way to do this is through CD/DVD replication or duplication. Both replication and duplication are reliable methods to copy your master disc into a number of copies. Depending upon how many copies you want to release in the market, you can choose between CD or DVD duplication or replication. Replication is usually the preferred method if you require more than 1000 units. There are many reputed companies providing CD/DVD duplication or DVD replication services.
- After the DVD replication or duplication job is over, think about the packaging part too. To make a positive impression amongst your buyers it is essential to package your product well. Some leading CD and DVD duplication and replication services providers also offer good quality on disc printing and CD packaging solutions.

It's Mother's Day Again
What would life be without mothers? They're everything in our lives - as friends, mentors, critics, nurses, teachers... In the endless roles that mothers play so that we can feel safe, secure, and loved.
Do you know how Mother's Day began? It has nothing to do with candies, roses or all that "stuff" that we think of when we think of Mother's day. You'll be surprised to know that it started with the need for sanitation. Here's how it happened....
It all started way back in 1858 in a small town called Webster in West Virginia. There was a woman who lived there by the name of Anna Reeves Jarvis who strived to improve sanitary conditions in the town by forming Mothers' Day Work Clubs. The Clubs raised money to buy medicine and to hire help for mothers with TB (Tuberculosis), and inspected bottled milk and food.
During the Civil War she extended the purpose of the Mothers' Day Work Club to continuing her work for improved sanitary conditions for both sides of the conflict as well as actually treating the wounded. This somehow led to the reconciliation of several family members divided by the war, and she is credited with saving thousands of lives because of her teachings about sanitation.
The daughter of that woman, Anna Jarvis, swore at her mother's grave in 1905 to dedicate her life to her mother's project and to work for the establishment of Mother's Day. True to her word, she quit her job and dedicated herself full-time to campaigning for this special occasion we now observe.
On May 10th, in 1907, the church of Grafton, West Virginia became the shrine of the first unofficial Mother's Day.
Her hard work finally paid off in 1914 as President Woodrow signed the resolution that officially established Mother's Day in the United States.
Ironically - in light of modern celebrations of Mother's Day - as the years passed by Ms. Jarvis became disappointed with the increasing commercialization of the holiday. She even frowned on the practice of sending greeting cards and flowers, and later became critical of many public figures that were associated with the celebration of Mother's Day.
Anna Jarvis died in 1948 with no children of her own and was buried beside her beloved mother.
Similarly, another woman by the name of Julia Ward Howe who was also involved in the Civil War influenced the celebration of Mother's Day. Ms. Howe was known best for being the author of the words to the "Battle Hymn to the Republic".
She was so appalled by the carnage of the Civil War and the Franco-Prussian War that she tried to issue a manifesto for peace at an international conference. In 1872, she began promoting the idea of a "Mother's Day for Peace". A year later mothers from 18 cities across America held a Mother's Day for Peace Gathering. Some cities like Boston even continued to celebrate for many years, but the celebrations slowly died out once Howe was no longer paying for the costs.
It's amazing to think that one woman - Anna Reeves Jarvis - whose simple goal of improved sanitation was able to build such a powerful bridge that she continues to connect people with different beliefs even today.
Modernly, Mother's Day is celebrated in many countries around the world including Denmark, Finland, Italy, Turkey, Australia, Philippines, and Belgium. In fact more than 40 countries officially celebrate a Mother's Day.
No matter who we are, how we grew up, or where we live, looking back at that time in our lives when we were still fragile, naive and curious, for most of us it was - and continues to be - our mother who safely guided us on our journey of life.
Our deepest secrets, hurts, fears, and aspirations are all still kept in her locket of memories, and in ours. She nurtured our pain as hers; sometimes sacrificing the things she would have like to have bought for herself just to be able to buy us our latest whim.
However Mother's Day is celebrated, we just have to keep in mind that it's not the things we buy for her that matters, it's the counting of our blessings, the appreciation of the love in our loves, and the opportunity to create a truly memorable Mother's Day this year - both for yourself - and for those special people in your life.

Little House of Halloween Horrors
Halloween's nearly here and decorated yards, houses, apartments and even cars are appearing everywhere. People get "into the spirit" in in some cities, with Halloween decorations rivaling the Christmas and holiday extravaganzas that will show up in December.
Halloween 2007's witches and vampires will be scarier than ever. Thanks to technological gadgets and devices, the effects at Halloween parties and displays get spookier and grosser every year.
As you might guess, the web has much to offer.
First, surf over to Buy Costumes.com (http://www.buycostumes.com/). How about an animated candy bowl bound to scare the dickens out of your little trick or treaters? As the little tyke (or the big tyke as the case may be) reaches for a treat, an animated green hand emerges from the bowl and appears to grab for them. With the message "Trick or Treat" written on the outside, the motion-activated bowl assures guests will sample it. Just to be sure, it also speaks aloud the messages, "Trick or Treat", "Happy Halloween" and "Want some Candy?" $19.95 with batteries included.
The same site also offers a Lighting FX Box h with Spooky Sounds CD included. When connected to a lamp or other lighting devise, the lights will flicker and dim to music. The lighting box with its six foot cord plugs into any AC outlet. The accompanying CD includes thirty minutes of spooky sounds, including thunder, lightening, howling wolves, moaning ghosts and eerie organ music. It's on sale at the date of this writing for $19.95.
If you're really planning to go all out, to the tune of $399, you might want the Airblown Archway Tunnel Haunted House with Sound to decorate your lawn. The tunnel can stand alone or serve as the entrance to a haunted house This massive, inflatable haunted house greets visitors with two red-eyed gargoyles at the doorway. Inside, black streamers brush against visitors as they move along the tunnel into the main room. Motion activated strobe lights, sound and flashing light completes the picture.
Other goodies at this site include a bloody butcher heart that beats, thanks to its battery operated mechanism (EEEWWW!), a bloody butcher hand, a cannibal meat brain, a shaking butchered arm and a shaking bag with hand. Prices range from around $10 to $25.
Moving along to the Spirit web site (http://www.spirithalloween.com), we find a wonderful, vibrating hanging head with a rattling chain. According to the web site, the head shudders and struggles against the restraints while glaring at you with glowing red eyes. It's $39.95. Along a similar vein, you might also consider a face lift hanging head, a scarecrow hanging head, a rotten clown hanging head and an easy catch hanging head, all $29.99 each. An interesting skeleton pirate head chatters and mocks passersby, taunting them with the prospects of buried treasure. You can listen to the pirate's audio recording on site. I also like the animated, nibbling rat. This devise makes the most disgusting sounds as it nibbles on your arm or whatever else you have attached it to. The site has an audio file for your listening enjoyment.
You can also choose from an array of fog machines at Spirit. Use a fog machine with timers ($39.95) in conjunction with Halloween lights for a truly eerie effect. Other fog machines available on site include a Low Flying Fog Machine for indoor use. It generates a non-toxic, water-based fog that hovers close to the ground. $59.95.
Want something truly scary? Check out Spirit's life sized animatronics Jason Voorhees, who if you recall, is "the hockey-masked, knife wielding impaler of teenagers." The site provides a video of this guy in motion, and let me tell you, it's eerie! Jason isn't exactly cheap, at $249.00, but he's awesome scary!
Other animatronics include Crypt Keeper on Chopper, a hearse with coffin and several others.
Meanwhile, Artistic Delights has a number of interesting fog and light machines. (http://www.artisticdelights.com/)True, these items aren't really intended for Halloween, but you can certainly adapt them for that purpose. For example, the Wireless Remote Mister Fogger with LED lights features a 16 mode controller that turns the lights on and off, changes the sequence of various colored lights, and changes the amount of mist and more. Imagine using it with an evil black cauldron! $45.00. The site also offers a mist maker fogger on sale for $18.
Over at the 3d Fear Factory (http://www.3dfearfactory.com), we find a vibrating coffin for $21.95, a skull fogger, a spooky skull head that creates fog through his mouth ($35.99), plus strobe lights and fog machines.
At Fright Catalogue (http://www.frightcatalog.com) one of my favorite offerings is the Spooky Shadows Light. You really have to watch the video to see this in action, but it's very cool. The site reads, "Frosted rotating dome casts shadowy shapes and figures on surrounding surfaces for a scary optical illusion. Switch-activated light and motion; battery operated. The perfect night light for any Halloween-er." $22.99
Fright Catalogue also offers a Web Caster Gun, calling it "the latest in cobweb innovation." Who knew? I had no idea that cobweb creation was an industry. Anyway, the copy reads "The Webcaster Gun will give you the professional spiderwebs you crave, without any of the hassle of traditional cobweb machines. All you need to create totally realistic webbing is this unique, easy to use gun, a few Webcaster sticks, and a simple air compressor (not included). Comes with 6 Clear Webcaster Sticks to get you started. Plugs into any standard outlet." You can also get various other types of cobweb machines, strobe lights, fog machines and oh my goodness! Optical illusions with price tags in four figures!
The Monster Morph Illusion (at $1450 plus $500 shipping) comes with two boxes, and requires the participation of two humans (not included). One human goes into each box. The image in one box fades back and forth to the second box, where the human can charge out and scare people. You can also get a ghostly window illusion ($1785) in which a ghost appears and disappears. The ghost is included so no need to find your own. The Spill Your Guts Illusion ($4,690.00) requires a human to participate. Mirrors and trim boards create an effect of the person "not being all there." There's a video on site showing this inaction. In this case, the picture really is worth a thousand words.
Need ideas or instructions for setting up your display? If you're truly in to do-it-yourself technological effects, you'll find ideas and instructions at this site; http://wolfstone.halloweenhost.com/Welcome/Welcome.html .
Vile Things is another great site with projects, videos, instructions and links. http://www.vilethings.com/index.htm

The Action Figures of 5 Top Lost Characters -
1. John Locke - This is really a fascinating character as he is impossible to pigeonhole. In crisis, this character is very confident and skilled for hunting and tracking. Also, he has a sense of leadership and an innate charisma that led to other characters 'Walt' and 'Boone' drawn to him. What really shock is that before the flight, this character was a lowly office drone and also he was a paraplegic. But, despite living a mundane life, he desperately wanted to live an adventurous life.
2. Hurley - Most of the characters can be described as 'intriguing' and 'fascinating, but Hugo 'Hurley' Reyes is simply the most realistic and nicest character amongst all them.
He is still the down-to-earth guy. In his past, he won a lottery and became a multimillionaire. He has an imaginary friend, 'Dave'. But, there is nothing very dark about this character. So he is our 'Mr. Nice'.
3. Eko - This character was introduced in season two. He was one of the survivors that were in the end part of the plane. Mr. Eko became a standout very soon and evolved in the top characters. His two distinct qualities are toughness and calmness. He is growing very popular.
4. Sawyer - The viewers hate and also love the character of James 'Saywer' Ford.The 'Lost' fans cannot ignore him and it could be his good looks or his bad boy attitude. For females, that could be the main thing for gravity. Despite all the horrible things he has done on the island, he has also done some 'stand-up' things that give him a brighter light. One clear thing about him is that can take care of him self alone very well.
5. Sayid - Alike the other characters, Sayid appeared very innocent, but later his dark side revealed from his tough past. He is the son of an Iraqi hero, who fought in the Iraqi Intelligence Department. Since the starting, Sayid has been solving problems very smartly. This character has knowledge about electronics and some engineering that he often uses in the show. He has been seen torturing Sawyer, Ben and other by beating and stabbing to keep the status quo and to understand what is going on the island.
These are the five most popular lost action figures. People of different age groups like to keep them.

Perhaps weird, or just odd, but every year we receive the same advice for plan ahead for our shopping time. In fact, more than often, we have in mind a series of Christmas gift ideas, but somehow we are caught before we could to anything to implement at least one.
Lack of time seems to be the "illness" of present times, but if everything turns around a boyfriend Christmas gift ideas, things change drastically. Your boyfriend is your "other half" so it will never hurt if you dedicate some of your spare time to finding meaningful Christmas gifts for him.
When it comes to Christmas gift ideas for boyfriends, only you can determine what to give. There are present that have no age or time, such as collectible action figures, but there are others more suitable for the businessman, like an executive handheld set that would be unsuitable if your boyfriend is a teenager, just like you.
Alternatively, who knows, there are young men who have well defined professional careers since their early high school days and may feel amazingly surprised with such a classy gift. On the other hand, a businessman will never be too old to receive caramels or toys decorated following the instructions of patterns with Christmas gift ideas or crafts for this very special season of the year.
If this year is the right one for getting ready your Christmas gifts list, add a special section devoted to boyfriend Christmas gift ideas, and add as many items as you think he will enjoy, whether alone or by your side sharing a kiss under your mistletoe central decor.

If he enjoys games, try arcade games, or a wrist exerciser for guys who like to stay in shape. Other ideas include remote control vehicles, a digital camera, spy toys, a pocket calculator, a radio with clock, multi flavored chocolates, sport gear, and many others that your imagination dictates.
When is not time but lack of inspiration, ask your boyfriend about the things he likes. In fact, where have you been? This is something that you should know even before he actually turned into your boyfriend.
However never is too late to investigate, or nurture your inspiration with other sources. There are excellent Christmas gift ideas and Christmas gift ideas for boyfriends can be found by just surfing the Internet or taking a walk browsing the Christmas gifts shops near to your home, so good luck and happy shopping.

Dancing With the Stars Broke My Heart
This season of Dancing With The Stars finale is supposedly over, but I can't get over the result. Helio Castroneves beat my girl Mel B. While I am a bit salty that all of the previous DWTS winners have been men, I am particularly upset about Mel B's loss.
Don't get me wrong, I found Helio's energetic quick step enjoyable. He was a joy to watch. But, Mel B.'s mambo was magnetic.
As the judges stated, it was as if Mel was born to dance. Each week, she brought such passion and enthusiasm to her dancing that you were glued to the screen. Mel embodied the song and the dance as if she had been doing it her entire life.
Doing that was a true accomplishment. Women carry the majority of the burden in ballroom dancing. They are lifted, spun, and forced to split. They must do what the men do, but if they are to "sell it", they must do it better. They must figure out how to epitomize grace in a revealing and often uncomfortable costume. And they must do it with a smile.
Lest you think that I only wanted Mel B. to win because she was Black and female, I must confess, I did not feel the same level of outrage when Laila Ali was eliminated. While I was rooting for Laila, (because whenever a Black competes we all cheer) I was not motivated to vote for her. Indeed, the entire season, I thought that Apollo Ohno was consistently the strongest and most effective dancer. Apollo and Julianne sold the story every time--they were a team, they were skilled, and they had passion for the dance (and perhaps each other).
This season though, Mel B. had everything that Apollo had, and so much more. Watching her made you want to dance, but you doubted that you could ever be that good. Her repeated splits appeared effortless. Her turns seemed natural. Her boogies looked ingrained. And when Maks lifted her it was as if they had been partners for years. Simply put, she rose the occasion and made every single dance her own.
It is incomprehensible that Mel B. did not walk away with the trophy. Compared to Helio, she was the stronger competitor and I am almost certain that she was more well known. Even though the Spice Girls haven't had a hit in years, who the hell was Helio before DWTS? I had never heard of him, and I read celebrity magazines like it is my job. I am not an Indy fan, but how many Indy fans watch DWTS anyway?! (Viewer votes (via phone, text messaging and online) accounted for 50 percent of the couple's score. The judges' total makes up the other 50 percent.)
I just don't get it. While Helio was the best male competitor, he simply was not the best overall. He did a fine job, but he did not "win". He did not perform at Mel's level. Moreover, he did not perform at the same level of Sabrina Bryan (Cheetah Girl kicked out WAY too early). (He didn't even rise to the level of that very sexy, but unknown, Albert Reed who was kicked off early, but rocked the finale.)
Once I get over grieving Mel B.'s loss, I may learn some lessons. Perhaps I shall realize that what Helio's victory illustrates is that DWTS is reality TV at its best. It keeps you watching. It keeps you wondering. And it keeps you wanting more. Still, once the next season starts, I'll be hoping that one woman, any woman, makes America realize that women do it better, because we do it backwards and in high heels.
Outdoor Christmas Lights Infuse Cheery Charm to Your Yard
Do you enjoy driving around during the Christmas season looking at all the outdoor light displays? If so, why not create a Christmas light exhibit of your own? You can easily bring the magic of seasonal lighting into your own yard and add some holiday character with some wonderful decorations. From animated Christmas light strings to LED bulbs, you'll find that there are many great choices to consider for your yard. So, let's take a closer look at how you can use outdoor decorations to totally change your yard into a magical holiday display of lights.
One excellent option to use for your yard is animated light strings. There are so many different options when it comes to using these animated bulbs. You can find animated reindeer, snowmen, and even Santa Claus. They definitely add a whole new dimension to your display of outdoor Christmas decorating. While you won't want to get to carried away with your theme, the addition of a few animated lights can definitely add some character to your yard this season.
Another great choice of festive lights includes rope lighting. You can use them for a variety of different things in your yard. From decorating some trees, to using them on your front porch railings, there are many options. You can even use them in such a way that they highlight other animated Christmas decor that you are using. So, rope strings are a great way to add more character to your holiday light display this year.
Of course, when you're creating your light display, you want to make sure that you have it well organized. You don't want to just haphazardly throw together your outdoor decorations. Come up with a plan and a design that you can use in the yard to make it look amazing. Sit down and decide what style of lighting you want to use, such as rope strings or animated festive light strings and then figure out where you can place them for the best effect.
Even when you're using these colorful outdoor globes to add more holiday character to your yard, you won't have to spend a huge amount of money. Believe it or not, there are many places where you can purchase a variety of different styles of lights such as animated Christmas lights for a great price. So, if you want a beautiful yard this holiday season, you won't have to spend a huge amount of money to finally get the display of your dreams that makes you smile each time you turn it on.

HM Armed Forces Toys - 10 Things Every Parent Needs to Know
Following the success of the now discontinued Action Man figures, toymakers the Character Group, recently made a bid for a share of the action figure market by launching its new HM Armed Forces range. This new military range is taking the Amazon Action Figure Bestsellers list by storm with 4 entries in the top 10 at the time of writing. So what are they all about and are they worth buying?
1. What are HM Armed Forces Toys?
The HM Armed Forces toy range includes action figures, vehicles and role play toys inspired by the modern British military. The initial range of nine action figures on sale includes three from each of the services - Army, Royal Navy and RAF. The vehicles are those used by the services and to inspire role play, realistic kit replicas are available. In total there are 32 toys in the range.
The action figures feature authentic gear and weapons:
The Army Infantryman comes with uniform, body armour, helmet and assault rifle.
The Royal Navy Diver comes with diving suit, breathing apparatus and a spanner.
The RAF Fast Jet Pilot comes with a flight suit, side arm and holster, a helmet and face mask.
As well as the basic figures, also on sale are deluxe versions that come with extras such as additional weaponry, a canoe or a stretcher.
2. For what age group are HM Armed Forces Toys suitable?
The range is primarily aimed at boys aged 4 to 9.
3. Are HM Armed Forces Toys any good?
Since the demise of Action Man any child who loves playing with toy soldiers has most likely been stuck with the small green plastic variety. Fortunately for them, this new armed forces range takes army role play to a new level.
These toys are precise, scaled down versions of the real thing. They have been designed with immense attention to detail of uniforms and weapons. The clothing and equipment are meticulous copies from real life even down to the Adam's apple!
The fully articulated action figures are quite large at 25cm but well made and robust. The moveable parts make the figures very lifelike and enable you to pose them in all sorts of positions even down to the finger on the trigger! Most of the clothing and accessories are not removable which reduces lost parts although the hands and feet are prone to coming loose. The life like military equipment will be fascinating to any boy.
4. How much do HM Armed Forces Toys cost?
The action figures should cost between £15 and £25. The vehicles cost up to £50.
5. Which is the best HM Armed Forces Toy?
The attention to detail on the action figures makes them stand out as the best of the range so far. Go for the deluxe version with a few extras to save money on buying separate vehicles or equipment.
6. Which is the worst HM Armed Forces Toy?
The price of the vehicles and role play equipment seems to be a stumbling block but you may get what you pay for if these toys prove to be of superior quality and durability. With the range only having been launched during May 2009 it is a little early to say but watch this space as we will update it with developments.
7. What toys and merchandise does the HM Armed Forces Toy range include?
The range includes action figures, vehicles and role play toys.
The action figure range features: Infantryman, Armoured Infantryman, Royal Marines Commando, Royal Marines Commando with Stealth Canoe, Royal Navy Diver, Mortar Man and Heavy Mortar, RAF Fast Jet Pilot, RAF Falcons Parachutist, RAF Winch Man and Stretcher.
The vehicles range currently features a Fast Pursuit Battle Tank, a Royal Navy R/C assault hovercraft and a Vector Thrust Fast Jet.
The role play toys include equipment such as a Stealth Kit (including Night Vision and Compass), Walkie Talkies, Metal Detector, Tent, Camouflage Netting, Uniforms for dressing up and various other things but no replica weapons.
There are currently no female soldiers in the range but one will be launched before the end of the year, along with a villain to complete the role play experience.
8. What educational value does the HM Armed Forces Toy range provide?
Playing with toy soldiers provides strong, positive role models for children. It helps develop their moral reasoning by identifying the good from the bad characters. When used to interact with other children, they will engage in cooperative and dramatic play. The range of toys will educate children in the exact combat uniform of our troops, what the armed forces do and show them that there are a variety of jobs and opportunities in many fields.
9. Which toy should I buy for a child that has most of the HM Armed Forces Toy range already?
Take a look at the Pop Up Field Tent or the Utility Belt.
10. Where can I buy HM Armed Forces Action Figures online?
Amazon, ToysRUs and Argos.
Who's side will you be on CONTEST

Popular Play Tents
Not too long ago, kids seldom complained playing house with some old bed sheets or garments lying around the house which would provide them with endless hours of fun. Not the children of today. They are now more demanding and will give their parents a hard time if they don't get them something more realistic, high-tech and colorful. Worried parents, who can't figure out what to buy for their kids, can find a very helpful remedy in play tents.
There is a wide variety of play tents available on the market so selection should be based on size (number of children the tent can accommodate), outdoor or indoor purpose, material, design and features such as water-resistant floor, mosquito mesh etc.
Pacific Play Tents: Pacific Play Tents is one of the largest play tent manufacturers. Their most popular products include "Me too" and "Find me" play tents. The two models are made from flame retardant 70 Denier nylon and have shock-corded poles for easy assembly. The "Me too" play tent has polyethylene flooring, a "T" style door with Nylon ties. The "Find me" play tent, on the other hand, has a Zipper and Velcro on the front door, and two windows that can be connected to Play Tunnels. Both the play tents cost around $25 to $30. Pacific Play Tents also have other popular products for kids such as teepee playhouses, castle playhouses, and bed tents etc.
Lucy and Michael Play Tents: Two moms decided to come up with intricately-designed, colorful play tents made from fun fabrics and sturdy pine supports, and became one of the biggest play tent manufacturers. They call their products "heirloom-quality toys" which do not come very cheap. A single product may cost you $300 to $350, so Lucy and Michael's play tents might not be the best option if you're planning to buy one on a low budget.
Playhut Play Tents: SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom Hideaway is a lightweight, portable tent covered with cartoon character graphics from the hit TV show, SpongeBob. Features include a flapping door and tunnel port for expandable play, with twist 'n fold technology (patented by Playhut) for easy folding. Costs around $25 to $30. Playhut also has a SpongeBob Squarepants Play 'N Fun tent, which is not exactly a play tent but a combination of a slumber hideaway, bean bag toss game, play tent, roll out play mat, cabana with roll-up flap door, and a crawl through tunnel port. Slightly costs higher, around $40.
Dora the Explorer Hideaway Tent: is an indoor/outdoor play tent designed for adventurous little girls built with EZ-Twist technology for ease of setting up. Made from non-woven nylon binding and steel which can be spot cleaned and air dried, it features a tunnel port for crawl-through action. Costs around $20.
Spinmaster's Create-A-Room Adventure Zone: A Spiderman designed play tent, inflatable bed and foot pump, combined into one and specifically designed for the superhero's fans. Poles are joined by one common elastic which allows for easy assembly and durability. Costs around $30.

Gift Giving - It's the Thought that Counts
Money may be the number one factor that divides us in life. When gift giving season rolls around each year and when it comes to gift giving, however, it is the thought that counts.
If you are tight on cash, it doesn't mean that you can't give your loved ones great gifts. Regardless of how much money you have, most people would rather get something personal. This means that it comes directly from your heart, and it shows how you truly feel. To many peoples surprise, most women would actually prefer a made by hand sentiment, rather than a store bought bouquet of roses or a custom designed ring. As long as you can show your appreciation, then that is all that matters.
The first thing you need to do is figure out what your loved one likes. If they collect vintage pieces similar to G.I. Joe action figures, you could easily find a great set at a yard sale or an online auction website like EBay. With such affordable ways to get the perfect gift, it is no surprise that people are rushing to these places. After all, to most gift receivers, a G.I. Joe collectible is rare and exceptionally classic.
If your loved one does not appreciate GI Joe collectibles, perhaps you could try David Clark headsets. These are lovely and inexpensive gifts. Still not impressed? Many affordable stores offer silver jewelry for a low price. After purchasing a piece of jewelry, there are local shops that will take it and turn it into an engraved gift. By giving your loved one an engraved personalized gift, they will feel like you thought extensively about what to get them.
No matter what type of idea you have, it is important to make sure that it is the thought that counts. If you take your time creating a personalized gift, chances are they will love it much more than an expensive over the top gadget. As a result, you will finally realize that spending hundreds of dollars is just unnecessary. For instance, if your loved one was just graduating, you could create a humorous award to show them how proud you are. Want to personalize it? Even if it is not an engraved crystal award, you can still find something unique and beautiful to engrave.
At some point in our lives, we will come to terms with gift giving. We will finally realize that gifts don't have to come from thousand dollar bank accounts, complete with engraved crystal rewards. Each personal is an individual, one of a kind, and special. When we customize or purchase an engraved gift, we show our affection and love. Even if it is a simple G.I Joe action figure or a David Clark headset, we are all about giving. Hopefully at the end of the day, we will be happy with the phrase, "it's the thought that counts."

Eastern Versus Western Karma
Actions are preceded by thought and that is actually when the karmic cycle starts and it is because thoughts are much more important than your actions. Actions are instigated by thoughts. Those who have not yet developed intuition and do not listen to that small voice within themselves which is their own conscience whispering to them are subject to the consequences of their actions. Bad or negative thoughts lure or entice some to actions that will be regretted. Positive thoughts have the opposite effect and lead one to perform actions with positive results.
There are two ways to study karma, the Eastern and the Western way. In the West your thoughts are not considered evil unless someone commits evil actions. But Eastern ethics tell us otherwise. When our thoughts and feelings are evil, that alone is considered evil. You have freedom before you act and the results of that action will be with you whether you like it or not. That is the law of cause and effect.
You can use this as an example. If what you are reading in a book awakens wrong tendencies in you and you realize that what you are reading is bad for you, you will still reap the consequences from reading that book. Remember this all your life. When you let yourself be tempted you have imprisoned your wisdom. The fastest way to avoid temptation is just to say "no" and remove yourself from that environment as fast as you can. Later on when you are calm and your wisdom is freed up you can reason it out. Now if you are weak and your willpower is not developed, you will have to learn how to evolve your willpower. You may say "man, I haven't got that kind of willpower." How do you get this willpower? First you have to know what willpower is.
From the moment a newborn baby cries it is the awakening of willpower. The feeling of discomfort causes the baby to cry as it is painful when the lungs open for the first time. This is "automatic-physiological willpower." As the baby begins to talk it follows the desires of its mother which is called "thoughtless will." As the baby begins to grow older it starts thinking for himself; and when it is denied something from its mother that it wants he starts to show stubbornness by resisting. This is the first stage of evolving willpower. This inflexibility is "blind willpower." What does that mean? It means someone wearing blinders and can not see. Blind willpower is willpower without wisdom. The youth of today uses this unstable or hot-blooded will without any meaningful purpose or point, squandering energy on temptations, hot passions, speed, hasty resolutions and uncontrolled appetites. The folly of the young and impulsive is rightfully termed blind willpower when letting the senses go ungoverned. After experiencing the results of blind willpower the youth understands the futility and begins to learn "thoughtful will." Unless will is directed by discrimination it becomes semi paralyzed.
There is a colossal difference between wishing and willpower. Wishing is a hopeless desire that you know will not come true. When you desire something it is just a wish that is followed by efforts to materialize itself into achievement. Determination is a stronger definite desire that is used powerfully to manifest a definite purpose. Even strong determination can be discouraged when numerous efforts end up failing.
One step above a wish is desire with intention. But when you will something by applying willpower and energy with continuous focused action, your desire will be achieved. In other words volition is the key that initiates the power of the dynamo that will continuously and with unstoppable determination revolve over a desire until the much desired result is produced. It does not matter how difficult or complex the goal is, the person with volition does not stop his efforts of determination throughout his whole life.
Remember, you must maintain calmness at all times. The pendulum swings continuously back and forth in everyday life. The person who is at peace and retains his calmness is then ready to swing into action when it is time to work. Your calmness should control your activity and not the other way around. There is nothing you can not accomplish with the power of will. But make sure your willpower is guided with wisdom and start using it in the road to success. Become a divine strategist and use your intelligence to analyze what life is. I am going to explain what strategy is and how to apply it in your daily life.
Now, if you remember the war in Africa in 1943 when General Montgomery faced up against Field Marshal Irving Romel, General Romel was a far greater strategist than General Montgomery. It was only because Montgomery had the actual code machine--the enigma-- that he was able to know every motion that Romel was making. The Allies knew every single move that they were going to make like playing chess with a man who knows every motion he is going to make before he makes them. Therefore you find that in the whole idea of developing wisdom is to be able to decipher the inner motion of subtle evil; if you do not control your thoughts and feelings they will totally manipulate you to the point where you have become a puppet of destiny.
First you have to be fearless. What made General Romel so powerful? He always left his staff and inserted himself in the front lines, putting his life constantly in danger to observe
every motion of the enemy and was able to make immediate decisions to counteract their strategies. That is why ten to one the English could not make it and they were good soldiers. Every new day there is a new opportunity to show heroism. Meet everyone and every situation with the courage of a hero and the smile of a conqueror.
When looking within your inner mirror through meditation you attain intuition. Then it will not be necessary to depend upon the limited knowledge of predictive sciences like astrology. You will then have your decoding machine in which you can see the future not from astrological or palm readings or the tarot. But you are going to see directly concerning you what is coming in the future and therefore you can begin to change. The calm neutralized mind sees all events of the future that appears vividly.
Are you telling me my entire future is already written? What free will do I have? You have none unless you go into your soul. Within your soul you have every free will possible.
In fact, the moment there is a burst of soul consciousness, at that moment you have free will because the masters say the only time you are truly alive is when you commune with God; otherwise you are just a humanoid pre-programmed by your sub consciousness mind and that's a fact believe it or not. How in the world can the average man obtain strategy and do these things or obtain this calm state of the mind? If you say to yourself, "I want to be free and to have free will." How much do you really want to be free? Ten percent? Twenty percent? Or one hundred percent? You should classify yourself.
The masters tell us through the millenniums and centuries God sends in to the planet souls with different states of realization corresponding to the desire of the individuals. If we go back to the early centuries where that great expression of love from Jesus Christ which unfortunately totally failed to impress people; God began to send the ascetics, who renounced everything. They lived in deserts, caves and grottos and devoted their lives ceaselessly to know God. So the great anchorites dedicated their entire lives upon God and here and there people came to meet them. Later on as the people become a little more aware, God began to send his Saints like St. Catherine and St. Francis. Of course with these Saints it was do- it-or-else; it was threatening, there was no choice. Do it or you will go straight to hell.
There were some nations in the planet that advanced morally with more spiritual people like in India and then came the Ascended Masters; the Ascended Masters came from time to time throughout the centuries to India. These great masters were not just Saints, but ascending masters who were practically one with God. They came with their wisdom gradually convincing people to motivate their lives. The point was to increase spiritual efforts to become a better person and when to a certain extent God was pleased he sent the Avatars, incarnations of God who have only one purpose and that is, to liberate you. You can listen to all the intellectual talk, you can take it or leave it. But once you have taken that vow and follow an Avatar and thus allowing the masters to annihilate your ego, you have forfeit your choice. Your specific development will draw you to a specific teacher. The worst teachers of yoga whom we behold today have their purpose. Everything sub serves a divine purpose from the lowest to the highest teacher and you travel from incarnation to incarnation just trying to figure out what to do and, when you find the path, you analyze the teacher, the teaching, the path and the fruit produced by that path.
Here is an example. If you want forgiveness of your sins you go to Saints. If you want to emancipate yourself intellectually without too many sacrifices you follow an ascending master whose wisdom will gradually convince you on what to do. But if you want to emancipate your "self" then God sends you a Guru who has cosmic consciousness and is one with him, such as Jesus, Krishna, Buda, Sri Ramakrishna, Paramahansa Yogananda, and other great unknown masters who have come to earth throughout the centuries. But these masters have complete mastery of the self and no karma of their own. They come only to help the disciple to be free from his own karma. It is extremely important for you to follow one master who has no karma who can take a portion of your cross on his back.
If the person you follow has not realized God he can not take it, he is only a school teacher. There is a difference between a Guru who has realized God and a teacher. The technique in finding your true spiritual guru not a self appointed one is explained in the book "Autobiography of a Yogi" by Paramahansa Yogananda, a spiritual classic, which explains this in detail.
The masters say this is the penalty for those who refuse to allow their lives to be guided by divine laws. On the stage of life most people behave like puppet actors who are manipulated by prenatal instincts, environment, and karmic destinies from former lives. They do not know what role to play to be successful in life. There is a plan for your life. At the beginning of life God has made a script you can play. We are all movie actors and God, the director, asks you what kind of a role you want to play. Do you want to play your own role? Yes sir, I want to play my own. I have a right to do my own will therefore I am going to play my own role. Then life becomes your teacher and the two by four and the pounding comes. Then God says, "how about giving me twenty five percent of your life?" Or, "how about fifty percent?" How about seventy five? He is not satisfied until you give him one hundred. When you give Him one hundred percent of yourself He will give you the best script possible.
We all have our accursed free will. Free will without wisdom is zero free will. All the masses of unenlightened people are just humanoids, programmed and manipulated by all the computers of previous incarnations and past memories which automatically control their lives.
There is only one force in the universe and no one can dictate to it. Man can only submit, surrender and let him use it. Herein lies the greatest blessing, the ultimate in human experience in submission to God's will. Here lies the secret of strength. Now, if you feel that you are too weak and you can not control your bad habits and you can't motivate yourself to have greater devotion for God and you can not propel yourself to be a greater person, there you have your answer. In submission to God's will lay the secret of strength, that means to apply wisdom in your daily life. Lives which are governed solely by the laws of cosmic causation or the karmic laws are the hidden players in the game of life. You lose your independence and you can not say yes or no when herded to the right path or evil ways.
The first thing Swami Vivekananda, the great disciple of Sri Ramakrishna, said when he came to America in nineteen hundred was "Western people are funny. They fight and do not want to lose their individuality." My friend, you have got none. What victory do you have to achieve? There is only one victory you need; the victory of your soul is the most important thing in your life. Every night analyze yourself to see if you become stagnant. If you are it is because you let circumstances override you. And that happens when you dwell too much on petty things and have no time to meditate or to think of God.

Star Wars has been a firm favourite with children since the first film blasted onto cinema screens way back in 1978. Kids have always loved to play games around the Star Wars universe, with toys, collectibles, and computer games all available. With Halloween fast approaching, Star Wars Halloween costumes are always a good choice for kids looking to wear something different when Trick or Treating.
Some of the most popular costumes are the Clone Troopers, who first made an appearance in the second film - Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Cloned from the bounty hunter Jango Fett, Clone Troopers form the backbone of the Republic army. Secretly under the control of Senator Palpatine, he eventually turned them against the Republic, using their sheer weight of numbers to betray and crush the Jedi order. Later would they gradually change into the Imperial Troopers of Palpatine's feared Galatic Empire.
With the recent animated movie, The Clone Wars, along with the Clone Wars animated TV series, interest in Clone Troopers has never been higher. Video games and collectible action figures from the series are selling out, as children relive their favourite scenes and epic battles from the film.
With an eye catching and instantly recognisable outfit, Star Wars Clone Trooper Halloween costumes are a great choice for any youngster wanting to show off his fascination with George Lucas' ground breaking films. Why not get a group of children together, dressed as a Clone Trooper squad, heading out to the busy Halloween streets to do the Emperor's bidding.

How To Limit The Damage Of Halloween Candy Excess And Viable Alternatives To Halloween Candy
FOCUS ON ATTRACTIVE, HEALTHY ALTERNATIVES: Parents can make a conscious and yearly effort to create alternative Halloween traditions that place the focus on activity, not on treats - i.e hosting your own Halloween costume or craft party, coordinating a scavenger hunt (with toys, not candy, for prizes), participating in many of the candy-free harvest carnivals offered by churches and community centers, or spinning spooky tunes in the front yard to entertain passing neighbors.
A recent Halloween study found that children between three and fourteen were just as likely to chose toys as candy when offered both. So don't sweat offering alternatives to gooey goodies. Non-food Halloween items like pencils, stickers, and temporary tattoos are great alternatives. You can also chose healthier foods for trick or treaters like individual packages of graham crackers, mini boxes of raisins, or sugar free gum.
LIMIT THE DAMAGE: No matter how conscious you are about how you spend Halloween, it's inevitable that your child will probably be exposed to candy. You'll just need a plan to dispose of any excess. Some parents have success with allowing a few small pieces a day until most of the candy is gone or the kids lose interest. You can also offer to trade most of the candy for a bigger, more desirable prize, like a coveted Barbie doll or action figure. Even offering $5 for all but a few handfuls of candy is cheaper than a filling and less painful than a toothache. Dentists suggests letting children eat candy after a meal because the body will produce more saliva to help neutralize acids that can attach to tiny teeth. The worst time to eat candy is right before bed. Have kids rinse out their mouths and brush thoroughly after a candy feast, no matter what time of the day. What do dentists consider the worst candies for teeth? Anything that sticks to the teeth and stays there -- things like dots, gummy bears, suckers and hard candies. The best choices for "oral clearance" (spends the less time clinging to teeth) is chocolate because it melts quickly.
PURGE THE EXCESS: Once you've convinced your child to give up the extra candy, get it out reach so it's not longer a lingering temptation. Freeze some chocolate bars to melt for s'mores, brownies, or fondue on future winter days. Consider cutting up the rest to use as chocolate chips for baked goods you can make with your kids to give to senior citizen centers, military personnel, or any one special to your heart. Packaging up homemade cookies for the school crossing guard can make your child feel good about giving to others and take the focus off the candy.
USE HALLOWEEN TO TEACH SMART CHOICES, BUT DON'T DWELL: Halloween is a great time to talk to your children about the importance of making good nutritional choices, but you may not want to portray that message as one of overwhelming sacrifice. Once you've come up with a workable game plan that allows every one a little indulgence, explain the limits, but don't dwell on them. You can't raise a child and take away everything that is fun. The key is moderation and parental involvement. So offer your little spider-man or princess a slew of fun alternatives not focused solely on candy, but when they savor their hauls, know that treats in moderation are part of the thrill. Then help them learn to make good choices and figure out a useful way to share the extras.
